Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra and politician Raghav Chadha found themselves in the middle of trolling after a video of them performing seva (selfless service) at the Golden Temple in Amritsar went viral. While the act was intended as a gesture of respect and devotion, it sparked a backlash on social media, with netizens expressing their displeasure over the couple being filmed. A section of social media users said that a common man never shows off.
The Act of Seva at Golden Temple:
In a clip, soon-to-be-married Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha could be seen at The Golden Temple, one of the iconic pilgrimage sites. The couple could be seen performing seva by washing the dishes of the devotees. A seva is a selfless act that can be performed at any gurudwara by cleaning utensils, serving food, or assisting with maintenance. It is considered a humble act of devotion and is highly regarded within the Sikh community.
