Pankaj Tripathi has come out as one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood. And his career saw an awesome high after he moved to do more web series. Now, Pankaj Tripathi is a popular name in the industry and is all set to showcase his talent in the upcoming second season of the hit show Mirzapur. Before the release, the actor got a bit candid and talked about his relationship with his parents, especially his father in an interview.
In a conversation with Spotboye, Pankaj Tripathi said that he shares a very normal and organic relationship with his father. “Babu ji aur mere beech mein bahut zyada communication nahi hai. Mere jeevan mein kya aur kyun chal raha hai woh baithke mujhse baatein nahi karte hai. Na unhone mujhe kabhi kisi cheez ke liye roka hai,” he said.
Pankaj Tripathi also revealed that his father has never seen any of his films and doesn’t even know that he does films. He was quoted saying by the entertainment portal, “Mirzapur series kya hai, unhe idea bhi nahi hoga. Unhe pata hai main filmein karta hun. Main jaata hun toh bas itna poochte hai, ‘Tumhara sab theek hai na?’ toh main bol deta hun, haan sab theek hai. Toh unhe kuch zyada idea nahi hai, aaj tak unhone meri koi film theatre mein nahi dekhe hai. Kabhi Kabhaar laptop par kuch scene dekh liya, kisi ne dikha diya toh. TV nahi dekhte hai woh, unhe pasand nahi hai. Mera jo gaon mein ghar hai, waha aaj bhi TV nahi hai. Maine bahut baar insist kiya ki main TV lagwa deta hun, kam se kam meri filmein dekh lena but dono maa aur babu ji ne bola nahi chahiye.”
Meanwhile, Mirzapur 2 is all set to release on October 23 at Amazom Prime.
