Neena Gupta recently recalled how she and her daughter Masaba were left without a place to go after being evicted from her aunt’s house in the middle of the night. Renowned for her openness, veteran actress Neena Gupta recently revealed a startling event from her background. With a newborn in tow and nowhere to go, she described how she and her daughter Masaba were evicted from her aunt’s house in the middle of the night.

Neena Gupta revealed in a recent interview with Housing.com that she had bought a three-bedroom flat in a reputable building, but she had previously sold her former flat to pay for the new one, leaving her with little money. She moved in with her aunt and uncle during this time. The actress said she had only returned to her own flat to sleep after spending a lot of time at her aunt’s house. Masaba’s aunt also assisted with her care because she was still a young girl. She disclosed that when her aunt abruptly ejected her in the middle of the night, her life took a sharp turn.

She stated, “But one day, she threw me out in the middle of the night; she kicked me out. I had no money left. There was this one night where I had nowhere to go with a baby.” But while she struggled with her circumstances, her uncle became lenient and relocated her to his mother-in-law’s home in Juhu, which had been deserted for twenty years. Even though the house was dilapidated and covered in cobwebs, Neena, who was carrying a baby, cleaned it herself. Unfortunately, she was ordered to leave shortly after, so her stay was brief.

Neena Gupta revealed that she went to the builder where she had paid for her new house and explained her predicament because she had nowhere to stay. In order to purchase a ready-to-move-in home, she enquired as to whether she might get her money back. She was relieved when the builder gave her a full refund with no deductions. When the actress relocated from Delhi in the early 1980s, her trip to Mumbai began. With considerable assistance from her parents, she purchased her first flat after first sharing one. She decided to buy one flat after another instead of renting one again after that.
