Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh brought his signature energy to Delhi over the weekend with two highly anticipated concerts. While fans eagerly awaited an unforgettable experience, many were left disillusioned by what they described as severe mismanagement at the venue. In a viral post on X, user Siddharth shared his frustrations, calling the event “absolute chaos” despite Dosanjh’s electric performance.

According to Siddharth, who paid ₹15,000 for Gold Pit tickets, the concert did not live up to expectations. Gates, he claimed, were supposed to open early but remained closed until 5:30 PM, with the concert itself delayed until 8 PM. “Diljit was amazing, but his concert was not,” he wrote, expressing disappointment over paying a high price for a frustrating experience.

One of the issues Siddharth noted was the lack of an opening act. Instead, the audience was subjected to repetitive ads from Zomato and Kingfisher. “Why even make us wait for hours if nothing’s happening?” he questioned.

The user’s thread went on to highlight several concerning issues with the venue’s facilities, especially for women. He reported that the women’s washrooms were dark, unhygienic, and poorly maintained, a far cry from what one would expect at a premium event. In one alarming incident, a young woman fainted in the Gold Pit, but no staff member offered assistance until she was eventually taken to a hospital, raising serious safety concerns among attendees.

Siddharth further criticised the chaos at food and beverage counters, where only two stalls were set up to serve thousands of concert-goers. The lack of efficient service led to long queues, requiring attendees to stand in line multiple times—first for a card, then a slip, and finally to place their orders. Drinks were served in open glasses, causing delays and inconvenience.

As the night wore on, tempers flared, culminating in a clash between the crowd and event staff. The situation escalated to a point where the management stopped serving refreshments entirely after 9 PM, leaving concert-goers without even water for the rest of the night. Those who had pre-loaded money onto cards for purchases were unable to secure refunds, with the organisers only accepting cash post-event.

Reflecting on the experience, Siddharth said, “It felt like a total rip-off.” While he praised Dosanjh’s performance, he concluded that the concert’s organization fell far short of expectations: “The management could have been much, much better.”
