Mawra Hocane Confirms Being Approached For Sequel with Harshvardhan Rane: Details Revealed!

Sanam Teri Kasam actress Mawra Hocane recently shared that she has been approached to star in Sanam Teri Kasam 2 with Harshvardhan Rane. The original Sanam Teri Kasam, featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, was recently shown in theaters again, nine years after its first release. 

Despite facing competition from new films, the romantic drama attracted audiences once more. Due to its success, producer Deepak Mukut confirmed that a sequel will be released in 2026. Harshvardhan is officially confirmed for the second part, but Mawra’s role is still unclear. However, she revealed that the producers have asked her to be part of the sequel.

In an interview with Mid-Day, Mawra Hocane talked about Sanam Teri Kasam 2:  “The producer reached out to me for the second part. I’ve not read the script yet, it’s in my inbox.” She said she is unsure if she will be part of the project but hopes it does well, no matter her involvement.

Mawra recently talked to Connect Cine about her excitement for Sanam Teri Kasam 2. She is eager to join the sequel but noted that she would be happy if another actress took the role instead. She believes the film’s success is thanks to the producers, especially Deepak Mukut, who she thinks deserves recognition. Mawra wished him well and hopes the sequel exceeds expectations, no matter if she is involved. While she would love to return, she emphasized that she wouldn’t be disappointed if it doesn’t happen.

The filmmakers Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru shared in a conversation with India Forums that they planned Sanam Teri Kasam as a two-part story from the start. They had already outlined the sequel while writing the first film. The emotional ending shows Inder walking toward the tree, with Saru’s voice echoing, which was intentionally created to suggest what happens next.

The script for Sanam Teri Kasam 2 is finalised, and most of the songs are completed. The strong reaction to the re-release on Valentine’s Day has strengthened the plan to release the movie by Valentine’s Day 2026. Fans are excited, and the makers have confirmed the sequel. Harshvardhan Rane will return for his role. Their announcement hinted at another emotional journey, promising to recreate the magic of the original.
