Actress Mandira Bedi’s husband Raj Kaushal passed away due to cardiac arrest today morning. He is survived by his wife and two children. Mandir and Kaushal had tied the knot in 1991. Raj Kaushal was an ace filmmaker and producer and has given many super hit films like “Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi”, “Shaadi Ka Laddoo”, “Anthony Kaun Hai”.  As per a report in Amar Ujala he suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this morning.

Director Onir who has worked with him in the film “My Brother… Nikhil” had confirmed the news of his demise via Twitter. He wrote,  “Gone too soon. We lost Filmmaker and Producer @rajkaushal1 this morning. Very Sad. He was one of the producers of my first film #MyBrotherNikhil. One of those few who believed in our vision and supported us. Prayers for his soul (sic)”

Many actors from the film industry have offered condolences and expressed their grief over this unprecedented event. Rohit Roy had taken to Twitter and wrote, “This is unbelievable…. Numb with grief and shock One of our closest …….”. He also mentioned that he was ‘one of the closest’.

If reports are to be believed he was in the best of his health and also had a get-together with his friends Neha Dhupia, Zaheer Khan and Ashish Chaudhary.
