Stand-up comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiya’s arrest by NCB came as a shocker for everyone. The couple was arrested from their Mumbai home on November 21 after NCB raided their home and found a sizeable amount of Ganja. The couple was soon out on bail. This controversy, however, garnered a mixed response from Bharti’s colleagues. While many came out in her support, a section of celebrities criticized. There are reports that Bharti Singh will be banned from ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ but the news has not been confirmed yet. Now, Bharti Singh’s colleague from the comedy show Krushna Abhishek has come forward to support her.
In an interview with Times Of India, Krushna Abhishek stated that Kapil Sharma and he will always support Bharti Singh and that she’s like a sister to them. “I will support Bharti. She should get back to work. Jo ho gaya woh ho gaya (Whatever has happened, has happened). We stand by Bharti and both Kapil (Sharma) and I are with her. She has my unconditional support,” he said.
Krushna further revealed how he has known Bharti and Haarsh way before they tasted success. Krushna, in fact, was among the first ones to meet the couple post their bail. “Arti (Singh) ko chhod kar agar meri koi baahar sister hai jisko main proudly behen bolta hoon, toh woh Bharti hai (Bharti is the only one I proudly call my sister apart from my real sibling, Arti),” added Krushna.
Speaking about his bind with Bharti, Krushna said, “Bharti has stood beside me through thick and thin. She was the first person to meet me when my father was unwell and also when he passed away. She was the first person to call me when I had my twin boys. I fell sick while hosting an award function with Maniesh Paul, but Bharti filled in for me without batting an eyelid. Kaun karta hai kisi ke liye aisa. That’s the bond we share. So, I had to meet her at any cost after she was released. I don’t know about the world and others, but I am standing by Bharti.”
