Singer and spiritual healer Kenishaa Francis has come forward to dispel rumors linking her to the marital troubles of actor Jayam Ravi. Speculation emerged after Ravi announced his separation from his wife, Aarti Ravi, sparking public curiosity about the reasons behind the couple’s split. Kenishaa’s name was dragged into the controversy, with many alleging that she played a role in the breakup.
In an interview with DT Next, Kenishaa clarified her association with the actor and refuted the rumors. According to Kenishaa, her interactions with Ravi were limited and purely professional. She revealed that she first met him during the launch of her song Idhai Yaar Solvaaro earlier this year. Their contact was minimal until Ravi reached out to her in June, seeking spiritual guidance.
Kenishaa explained that Ravi approached her for help due to the emotional and mental strain he was experiencing from his marriage. “He got in touch with me when he was mentally and emotionally bruised from his marriage to Aarti. There are articles claiming I am responsible for their separation, but those are false. He approached me after sending a divorce notice through his lawyer. He wanted to keep the matter private,” Kenishaa said.
Taking to Instagram, Kenishaa shared a clipping of her interview, urging people to refrain from speculating. She wrote, “I humbly ask everyone to stay out of this. It’s not your issue to discuss, and I should not be dragged into it. I have my work to focus on and do not entertain unnecessary chatter. Let’s be kind to one another.”

Meanwhile, Jayam Ravi also addressed the rumors in an interview with the Hindustan Times. He expressed his frustration over the false reports linking him to Kenishaa. “Why is a third person being dragged into this? My divorce has nothing to do with her. We are working on a spiritual healing center together, but that’s the extent of our involvement. These baseless rumors hurt not only me but also our families,” Ravi stated.
On the work front, Ravi is set to star in M Rajesh’s upcoming rom-com Brother, alongside Priyanka Mohan. The film is slated for release on October 31, during Diwali. Ravi will also feature in the movie Genie, directed by Arjunan.
