When Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s fairy-tale wedding became the talk of the town last year, all eyes were on Katrina Kaif’s attendance at their Mumbai reception. The actress’s presence stirred various speculations, with some viewing it as a warm gesture after her past relationship with Ranbir Kapoor, while others couldn’t help but wonder about potential tension between the leading ladies.

However, it seems that time has healed any lingering differences between the exes of Ranbir Kapoor. This became evident through Katrina’s attendance at the wedding reception and at an awards show where the two actresses shared a warm hug in the same month.

During a guest appearance on a chat show, Katrina was asked about the motivation behind her attendance at Deepika and Ranveer’s wedding reception. The question posed was, “Was attending Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone’s wedding reception a part of easing up with people around (in this case, Deepika)?”

In response, Katrina candidly shared, “It was as simple as this – I received the invite, and Ranveer also messaged saying you know you gotta come, you gotta come be a part of this. I thought it was lovely, and I felt like going.”

Katrina Kaif, who was once best friends with Alia Bhatt before the latter began dating her ex-boyfriend Ranbir, opened up about their dynamic. Reflecting on their relationship, she revealed, “Alia was part of our friend’s circle – Ayan, me, and a group of us. We would train together. Honestly, after a few days, I analyzed the situation. I didn’t want to respond with preconceived notions that we set in our heads. I then concluded that when we were dating, it wasn’t relevant to the equation I shared with her, so why should that equation change?”
