In a candid interview with The Week, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor shared insights into her life with her husband Saif Ali Khan, also an actor. Kapoor humorously noted that Saif has taken her “for granted,” shedding light on the unique dynamics of their relationship.
Kapoor emphasised the importance of family time, particularly vacations with their children. When asked about the difficulties of being married to another actor, she revealed the challenges they face due to their demanding schedules. “It’s very tough being married to an actor. Sometimes, he’s sleeping when I’ve left for work. I won’t see him living in the same house; we’re trying to take time out for the kids. Two actors in the same house,” she said.
Despite these challenges, Kapoor acknowledged the positive changes in her life post-marriage. She credited Saif with keeping her grounded and providing valuable advice, although she humorously questioned whether he followed it. “I always ask him for advice, and he does ask me, too. I don’t know if he takes my advice. I am critical of his films. He hasn’t seen Crew, can you believe it? He’s been shooting, so see. But I have to see all his films…so in that sense, yeah, he’s taken me for granted this time,” Kapoor remarked.
Kareena Kapoor was last seen in the film Crew, alongside Tabu and Kriti Sanon. Her upcoming projects include the much-anticipated Singham Again, which features Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. Singham Again is set to release on November 1.
Before that, Kapoor will appear in Hansal Mehta’s The Buckingham Murders, scheduled for release on September 13. Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan is gearing up for his Tollywood debut in Koratala Siva’s Devara: Part 1, starring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor.
Kareena Kapoor’s reflections offer a glimpse into the balancing act required to manage personal and professional lives in the spotlight, underscoring the unique challenges and joys of her high-profile marriage.
