Filmmaker Karan Johar, known for his distinct fashion sense, recently found himself on the receiving end of a playful critique from his twins, Yash and Roohi. On Sunday evening, Johar shared an amusing video on Instagram featuring his children roasting his outfit choices.
The video begins with Johar focusing the camera on his twins, who were seated together on a sofa, dressed in matching deep blue tees and grey pants. “Oh! You both are literally twinning. I like what you guys are wearing today!” Johar remarked, admiring their coordinated outfits.

However, the compliments did not extend to his own fashion sense. Roohi quipped, “Why you don’t dress like this more office?” Johar, with a smile, corrected her, explaining that the word is “often.” Curious about their opinions, he asked, “You don’t like what I am wearing?” The twins responded with a resounding “no.”
Yash added that he simply did not understand his father’s fashion choices, while Roohi likened Johar’s outfit to a “nightsuit.” Johar quickly responded, “No, it’s athleisure!” The twins, unimpressed, reacted with a synchronised facepalm, exclaiming, “Oh god!” Interestingly, Johar’s outfit was not visible to viewers, leaving them to imagine the attire that sparked such reactions.
This is not the first time Johar’s fashion sense has been scrutinised by his children. In previous videos shared by the filmmaker, Yash and Roohi have humorously critiqued their father’s wardrobe, once even comparing one of his kurtas to something their grandmother, Hiroo Johar, would wear.
Beyond his playful family interactions, Johar continues to make waves in the entertainment industry. It was recently announced that he will co-host the 24th edition of the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2024 alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Vicky Kaushal.
Johar’s most recent directorial project was the 2023 hit “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani,” which featured an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, and Dharmendra.
