After Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor received Dadasaheb Phalke Awards, Kangana Ranaut is once again making news. The actress from “Dhakkad” poked fun at the famous pair. On February 20, 2023, Mumbai hosted the famous Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards ceremony. Vivek Agnihotri’s Kashmir Files won the prize for Best Film, and Ranbir Kapoor’s performance in Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva earned him the prize for Best Actor. In addition, Alia Bhatt won the Best Actress prize for her outstanding portrayal of “Gangubai” in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Gangubai Kathiawadi.

The winners of the awards were Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. One well-known personality, however—recognized actress Kangana Ranaut—was not quite pleased with the outcomes. The accomplished actress didn’t appreciate the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards ceremony results. Kangana revealed her opinions about Ranbir, Alia, and other winners at the ceremony in two messages on Twitter.

Kangana Ranaut remarked in a tweet that Mrunal Thakur, a stunning actress, and South Indian actor Rishab Shetty both deserved to win the Best Actor and Best Actress prizes at the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards ceremony. The actress continued by saying that Mrunal and Rishabh’s respective performances in Kantara and Sita Raman were deserving of the award. The actress said,  “Nepotism has once again stolen Oscars from deserving talents.” Her tweet appears as follows: “Awards season is here and nepo mafia is at it again, snatching all awards from the deserving talent. Here’s a list of some of those who displayed volcanic artistic brilliance and owned 2022. Best Actor -Rishab Shetty (Kantara), Best Actress-Mrunal Thakur (Sita Raman), (Cont).”

Kangana Ranaut further revealed in a later tweet that she has chosen Tabu as the Best Supporting Actress for her roles in Drishyam and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Anupam Kher as the Best Supporting Actor for Kashmir Files. Everyone’s attention was drawn to the fact that Kangana disagreed with the choice to honour Vivek Agnihotri for Kashmir Files with the Best Director Award. Her tweet appears as follows: “Best director- SS Rajamouli (RRR), Best supporting actor- Anupam Kher (Kashmir Files), Best supporting actress- Tabu ( Drishyam/Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2), Bolly awards are a big sham … when I get some time from my schedule I will make a list of all those I feel are deserving … thanks.”

When Kangana Ranaut tweeted her opinions, a tabloid referred to them as the product of “jealousy.” In a brief statement that she posted alongside a screenshot of the story, Kangana attacked the outlet for labelling her envious in the piece. It reads as follows: “Jealous of changu mangus nepo pappus jinko aaj bhi mummy papa diapers pehnate hai… ha ha… try better PR next time.”

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut will be next seen in the film, Emergency.
