John Abraham, known for his candid opinions on social issues, has recently voiced his concerns regarding the urgent need for better parenting of boys. In light of the recent rape and murder case at a medical college in Kolkata, the actor delivered a stern message during an interview with Radio Nasha, warning young men to “behave.”
When asked what advice he had for the youth of the country, the Vedaa actor didn’t hold back. “I’ll tell the boys to behave, otherwise I’ll tear them apart. Honestly, I just expect better upbringing, on a serious note. And I wouldn’t tell girls anything, because unki kya galti hai (what fault is it of theirs)? I think parents have to tell boys to behave. More power to the girls,” John stated emphatically.
This isn’t the first time John has spoken out on such issues. In a previous conversation on Ranveer Allahabadia’s YouTube podcast, John lamented the lack of safety for women, children, and animals in India. He stressed the importance of educating men on how to properly treat women, saying, “Indian men need to understand how to treat their women. Yeh bohot important hai. Har aurat ke liye, ek aadmi ko ek rakshak hona chahiye (It’s important for Indian men to learn how to treat women. They need to be protectors).”
John Abraham, who made his Bollywood debut in Jism alongside Bipasha Basu, has since become a prominent figure in Indian cinema with hits like Dhoom, Garam Masala, Force, Madras Cafe, and Satyamev Jayate. He was most recently seen in Nikhil Advani’s crime action-thriller Vedaa, which was released on August 15, alongside Stree 2, Khel Khel Mein, and Thangalaan.
Looking ahead, John is set to star in Shivam Nair’s The Diplomat, featuring Sadia Khateeb, Kumud Mishra, and Sharib Hashmi. He is also working on Tehran, an action-thriller directed by Arun Gopalan, co-starring Manushi Chhillar and Neeru Bajwa. Both films are co-produced by John’s production company, John Abraham Entertainment.
