Jisshu Sengupta To Join The Cast Of ‘Sadak 2’ Along With Alia, Aditya Roy And Sanjay Dutt
Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Sadak 2’ is all ready to set down the lane and start shooting. The director would be working after 20 years gap, making the sequel of 1991 movie under the same name. The movie stars Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. The trio was recently admired together for their work in Karan Johar’s ‘Kalank’ and is now set to reach new heights! Also this would be the first time that the father-daughter duo would be working together. Fans have always wanted Alia to work in one of her father Mahesh Bhatt’s movie and now they are delighted to hear this news.
Also, not only father-daughter twosome but the sister’s bond would be witnessed as well as the film also features Pooja Bhatt in it. Reports suggested that the cast is going to welcome a new member in the squad none other than Jishu Sengupta who lately gained much support and attention with his work in ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’. Jishu Sengupta is well known for his work in Bengali movies such as Aamra, 90 Ghanta and Love and many more and would now be seen playing an important part in ‘Sadak 2’.
Priyanka Bose and Akshay Anand will also feature in the movie apart from the above mentioned stars. The movie is thus going to be a multi –starrer movie. The movie is produced and directed by Mahesh Bhatt itself under the banner of Vishesh Films. Alia, sharing a picture of clapboard on her insta handle expressed her excitement and enthusiasm to work in this movie with father Mahesh Bhatt and sister Pooja.
“Today is Day 1 of Sadak 2. And that’s my father, now also my director, holding the clap. I begin shoot in a few days and honestly, I’m petrified. I feel like a tiny mouse trying to climb a beautiful, immense, emotional mountain. I hope I make it to the top and if I fall I hope I’m able to get up again. It’s a tough climb but from everything I’ve seen and everything I’ve heard, I know every single step and misstep will be worth it! The film will make an opening to the cinemas in March 25, 2020 and we can’t wait to watch the stars together.
