Janhvi Kapoor, who debuted in the 2018 film Dhadak, is actively promoting her upcoming movie Ulajh. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Kapoor humorously responded to compliments about her acting, joking that she was “paying people to say it.” When asked about her evolution as an actor, she remarked that it’s up to the audience to judge her performances.
“How can I sit and say about myself, ‘I have become very confident; I am giving very good performances’? I can’t say it myself,” Kapoor said. She added, “Paise khilwa ke bulwa rahi hu (I am paying them to say it).”
Addressing social media speculations about her public relations efforts, Kapoor commented on the frequent accusations that praise for her is orchestrated by her PR team. “Whenever I see someone praising me even by mistake on social media, they keep saying, ‘This must be her PR.’ I say ‘no I don’t have enough budget to pay people to compliment me,'” she explained.
