“Jabtak Gidgidaoge Nahi, Industry Mai Koi Kaam Nahi Dega”, Says Rimi Sen On Her Distance From Bollywood For Years

Actress Rimi Sen, who rocked films like ‘Hungama’, ‘Dhoom’, ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ and ‘Golmaal’, has been away from acting for the last several years. She talked about this distance from the entertainment world in the latest interview and also said that she is not in touch with co-stars Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar. Rimi Sen also said that unless you beg, you don’t get work in the industry. Rimi Sen’s last film ‘Shagird’ was released in 2011 and since then she has not acted in any film. Not only this, she is not seen in public events or any award show.

Rimi Sen said in a conversation with a media house, ‘I was tired of doing comedy films. There were not many roles for me. I used to have only the role of furniture. I had a good role in some films, like ‘Hungama’ and ‘Johnny Gaddar’. But ‘Johnny Gaddar’ did not work, and I wanted to do similar work.’

Rimi Sen tried to make a comeback with Salman Khan’s show ‘Bigg Boss’ but was unsuccessful. She became a film producer and produced a movie. Rimi Sen worked with Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn but said that she is not in touch with them. She said, ‘I cannot ask for help from anyone. You don’t get work help unless you beg. Why won’t others look after their own benefit? Why would anyone go out of their way to help you?’

Rimi Sen further said that she was not good at marketing herself. That is why she lagged behind. She said, ‘Talent comes later, first you should know how to handle people. Otherwise, the talent will remain in the store room. I did not know how to sell, how to do PR.’
