Alia Bhatt, who made her Hollywood debut in Gal Gadot’s Heart of Stone in 2022, recently opened up about the challenges of pursuing international projects while juggling personal commitments. During an appearance on the fifth season of What Women Want, hosted by Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bhatt reflected on her Hollywood experience and future career plans.

When asked by Kareena if she intends to pursue more Hollywood roles, Bhatt emphasized that her decision depends on timing and other factors. “It’s not about the necessity of doing a Hollywood film,” she explained, “but rather about taking on challenges that foster personal growth.” She likened her experience with Heart of Stone to her work in PR, noting that both projects offered her the chance to explore new creative avenues.

However, Bhatt candidly admitted that her priorities have shifted since becoming a mother to her daughter Raha. “Now, it’s harder to just pack up and leave for three to four months,” she said, highlighting the practical challenges of committing to international projects. While she remains open to global opportunities, Bhatt stressed that any future roles would require careful planning and preparation.

In a lighthearted moment during the interview, Kareena suggested that Ranbir Kapoor, Bhatt’s husband, would be happy to stay at home with Raha while Bhatt focused on her career. “He’s obsessed,” Kareena quipped, to which Bhatt laughed, acknowledging her husband’s deep bond with their daughter. Nonetheless, she emphasised that her career decisions are not made lightly. “It’s about finding the right balance between career aspirations and personal life,” Bhatt said, noting that factors such as the project’s storyline, timing, and her enthusiasm are crucial considerations.

Earlier, in an interview with Instant Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor shared his thoughts on fatherhood, describing it as “the best feeling in the world.” He playfully referred to his time with Raha as his current “home production.”

Professionally, Bhatt is currently filming the spy thriller Alpha, where she stars alongside Sharvari Wagh. Additionally, she will appear in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Love & War, where she shares the screen with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
