Director Imtiaz Ali recently talked about Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor’s interaction at IIFA 2025. Kareena and Shahid are two of the most popular actors in Bollywood. They used to date, so seeing them together at IIFA in Jaipur brought back memories for many fans. In a recent interview, Imtiaz Ali shared his thoughts on their meeting at the event.

At a recent event, the interaction between Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor stood out. Many people described it as a reunion of their characters from the movie “Jab We Met.” The film’s director, Imtiaz Ali, shared his thoughts in an interview with PTI. “Actually, I find it very interesting that Shahid and Kareena met up in IIFA, and people are talking to me about Jab We Met. Shahid has said that he thinks that I have moved on, but I think that everybody has moved on. It’s been a long time since Jab We Met.

He mentioned that ‘Jab We Met’ continues to be loved by audiences, and the recent meeting between the actors has sparked interest in a sequel. However, he doesn’t want to risk the film’s legacy by making one. Imtiaz remembered enjoying the experience of working with them but confirmed that a sequel is not planned. “I’m not really planning a movie with Shahid and Kareena per se, but it’s great that they met and they’re both very fantastic actors. I obviously had the greatest time working with both of them.”

Shahid Kapoor recently shared his thoughts on his interaction with Kareena Kapoor, which created a buzz online. Fans noticed that the two seemed to ignore each other at past events, so they found their conversation special. However, during a media interaction, Shahid said that this kind of communication wasn’t new for them; they used to chat like that before. “For us, it’s nothing new…aaj stage pe mile aur hum log idhar udhar milte rehte hai, but it’s totally normal for us…if people feel nice, it’s nice.”
