Bollywood singer Neha Bhasin recently shared a deeply personal note on social media, revealing her battle with several health conditions that have left her feeling unwell for a significant period. Bhasin disclosed that she has been diagnosed with premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (OCPD), and fibromyalgia.

In her post, Neha Bhasin wrote, “I want to say a lot, but I really don’t know where to start or how to sum up the helpless hell I am experiencing. After knowing for years that something is wrong, finally, today the diagnosis happened with more medical awareness. (2 years on paper, I’ve known since I was 20), which led to getting the right treatment for mental and hormonal disorders. With all this came a big realization and then the acceptance that at least for now my nervous system feels broken.”

She detailed her symptoms, which include fatigue, body pain, mental anguish, anxiety, monthly depression, and sleep problems. Bhasin explained how she has tried to find solace through yoga, journaling, and other methods. Despite these efforts, her monthly PMDD episodes continue to plunge her into severe distress, exacerbating her OCPD and fibromyalgia.

“My monthly PMDD still finds a way to throw me into the same old dark pit or dig many new ones. Is this my failure? My OCPD asks. It flares up what my doctor calls fibromyalgia, which I am now also accepting,” she wrote.

Bhasin also shared her struggle with performing and maintaining her physical activities amid the pain. “I have exercised. I have danced and performed with pain for years, thinking I am just tight and hence feel more stretched. My doctor has told me not to do anything for some time.”

In concluding her note, Bhasin expressed the depth of her suffering, stating that she is in a lot of pain. Her candid revelation has garnered support and empathy from fans and colleagues, highlighting the importance of mental and physical health awareness.

Neha Bhasin’s openness about her health challenges is a stark reminder of the often unseen struggles many face and the importance of seeking proper medical care and support.
