According to an insider, the two households have always kept their distance from one other. Hema Malini, Esha Deol, and Ahana Deol did not attend the wedding because their families had never met. Hema Malini, Dharmendra’s second wife, was not invited to the wedding and was also out of town at the time. The family has always preferred their own space and have never met.
In an old interview, Esha revealed that when Dharmendra’s brother and her uncle were unwell she had gone to see him. The actress touched the feet of Dharmendra’s first wife and after giving blessings to her Prakash Kaur left. She was then further assisted by Sunny Deol and he took her to meet him.
Regardless of the distance, Esha Deol used her Instagram stories to wish Karan and Drisha a happy wedding. She expressed her desire that they will always be happy and together. Esha gets along well with Sunny Deol’s family, and she is particularly close to her nephews.
