On her 43rd birthday, Kareena Kapoor has another reason to celebrate as she makes her OTT debut on September 21st with the release of her film “Jaane Jaan” on Netflix. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the movie also stars Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. During a promotional interview, Jaideep shared a delightful anecdote about an incident on set involving Kareena’s beauty.
The incident occurred during a particular shot where Jaideep had to open a door, only to find Kareena waiting on the other side for her close-up. As the camera team prepared for the crucial moment, the operator carrying the equipment stumbled and fell when the door swung open. Jaideep decided to lighten the mood by teasing the cameraman, jokingly remarking, “You think it’s easy looking into those eyes?”
A Mishap and Light Moments on the “Jaane Jaan” Set
Initially in disbelief, Kareena exclaimed, “What rubbish!” However, director Sujoy Ghosh confirmed the authenticity of the incident and humorously pointed out the gravity of the situation. He stated that if the cameraman had been seriously injured, they would have had to find a new cinematographer, which their budget couldn’t accommodate. Furthermore, Vijay Vamra also revealed how Saif Ali Khan used to babysit while Kareena used to give her take. He called it a ‘beautiful family’ and admired their connection.
“Jaane Jaan” is an adaptation of the 2005 Japanese novel “The Devotion of Suspect X” by Keigo Higashino. The film explores mysterious events in the pine-tree-covered Kalimpong, unravelling complex relationships and secrets.
