On Saturday, July 10, 2021, cricketer Harbhajan Singh announced that he and his wife, former Bollywood actress Geeta Basra, have been blessed with a baby boy. The couple got married in October 2015. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named, Hinaya Heer Plaha, a year later, in 2016. The cricketer took to social media to share the good news with his fans. In a post shared by him on Instagram, he wrote, “A new little hand for us to hold, his love is grand, precious as gold. A wonderful gift, so special and sweet. Our hearts are full, our lives complete. We thank the Almighty for blessing us with a healthy baby boy. Both Geeta and the baby are doing well. We are overwhelmed with the joy and would like to extend our gratitude to all our well wishers, for their constant love and support.” He also shared the same post on Twitter and wrote, “Blessed with a baby boy. Shukar aa tera maalka.” On Monday, July 12, 2021, Geeta and Harbhajan shared an Instagram Reels video, in which their baby boy’s crib can be seen.
In March this year, Geeta Basra announced on Instagram that she is expecting her second child with husband Harbhajan Singh. She shared a picture in which their daughter, Hinaya can be seen holding a T shirt that has ‘Soon to be big sister’ written on it, and husband, Harbhajan, can be seen cradling her baby bump. She also posted a caption in which she wrote, “Coming soon. July 2021.” Harbhajan was part of India’s 2007 T20 World Cup title win as well as the 50 over World Cup win under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. Geeta, on the other hand, has been part of films such as Dil Diya Hai, The Train, Zila Ghaziabad, Second Hand Husband and Lock.
