Popular singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh, currently in the middle of his Dil-Luminati World Tour, took a moment to pay tribute to Indian industrialist Ratan Tata during his concert in Germany on Tuesday night. The heartfelt gesture came just hours after the news of Tata’s passing, leaving fans and concert-goers moved. A video of Diljit’s tribute has since gone viral on social media, capturing the emotional moment.

Diljit Dosanjh on Ratan Tata’s Legacy

In the widely shared video, Diljit is seen pausing his performance to speak about Ratan Tata’s life and achievements. Addressing the crowd in a mix of Punjabi and Hindi, the singer said, “You all know Ratan Tata. He passed away and I pay tribute to him. I felt it necessary to mention his name today because throughout his life, he worked hard. As much as I’ve read or heard about him, I don’t recall him speaking ill of anyone. He always worked hard, did good work, and helped people.”

Diljit went on to reflect on the values exemplified by the late Tata, saying, “Yahi zindagi hai (This is life). If we can learn something from his life, it is that we need to work hard, think good, and help others. Bedaag apni life jee ke gaye woh (He lived his life without blemish).” His words resonated with the audience, many of whom were visibly moved by the tribute.

The singer has been on his world tour for several weeks, performing in the United States and Europe. He is set to bring his Dil-Luminati World Tour to India later this month, starting with two back-to-back shows in Delhi on October 26 and 27, followed by performances in various cities across the country through December.

Ratan Tata’s Passing

Ratan Tata, the former chairman of Tata Group and one of India’s most respected business leaders, passed away at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai at 11:30 pm on Wednesday. He had been in intensive care since Monday. A recipient of the Padma Vibhushan, Tata was known for his contributions to India’s industrial growth and philanthropy. His passing marks the end of an era for Indian industry, leaving behind a legacy of integrity and hard work.
