Veteran actor Dilip Kumar passed away in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The 98-year-old actor breathed his last at Hinduja hospital in Mumbai. The news of his death was announced through his official Twitter account soon after his death. Reportedly the last rites will be performed in Mumbai at 5 pm. He will be cremated at Juhu Kabrasthan in Santacruz. Now his body has been taken to his residence and his wife Saira Banu was seen inconsolable standing by his side.
The actor was admitted to the hospital after he complained of having breathing problems and had shown no signs of improvement. Earlier Saira Banu had requested for prayers and well-wishes in one of her tweets but sadly the actor lost the battle and left for heavenly abode today.
Sharing the news of his death on his official Twitter account Faisal Farooqui had tweeted, “With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, a few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him, we return. – Faisal Farooqui.” Saira Banu is devastated as she takes his mortal remains to their residence and social media is abuzz with videos and pictures of the same.
