Dharmendra Snaps at Paparazzi Post-Voting, Says “Do You Even Understand…”
Veteran actor Dharmendra stepped out to cast his vote in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. The actor took some time to interact with fans and posed for pictures with his inked finger, smiling for the paparazzi. Earlier in the day, his wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol were also seen at the voting booth. Dharmendra’s sons, Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol, posed in front of the cameras as well.
Dharmendra’s Frustration with the Media
After casting his vote, Dharmendra found himself surrounded by the media, which gave him little personal space. In a video that has since gone viral, the actor expressed his frustration, advising the media to be good citizens and to love their parents. He remarked, “Acche shehri bano, desh bhakt bano, maa baap se pyaar karo… aap ko malum hai jo mujhse kehelwana chahte hai” (Be good citizens, be patriotic, love your parents… you already know this).
Voting at Jamnabai Narsee School
Dharmendra cast his vote at Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai’s Juhu area. After voting, his staff members escorted him out. His daughter, Esha Deol, accompanied by her mother, Hema Malini, was also spotted at the polling booth. The family’s active participation in the voting process highlights their commitment to their civic duties.
Bollywood Stars Participate in Lok Sabha Elections 2024
The fifth phase of voting for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 began on May 20. Voting commenced at 7 am and continued until 6 pm. Several Bollywood celebrities were seen casting their votes early in the morning. Stars like Akshay Kumar, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, Tabu, and Janhvi Kapoor were spotted at their designated polling booths. Other notable actors, such as Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Rajkummar Rao, also participated in the voting process.
