Following incidents involving actors Nagarjuna and Dhanush, a recent video of veteran actor Chiranjeevi at an airport is now under scrutiny. The video captures Chiranjeevi allegedly pushing aside a fan attempting to take a selfie with him, sparking a debate online

The footage, widely shared on social media, shows Chiranjeevi and his wife Surekha exiting an airport lift, accompanied by ground personnel. An IndiGo Airlines employee approaches Chiranjeevi for a selfie but is ignored. As the fan persists and stands in Chiranjeevi’s path, the actor nudges him aside and continues walking.

This incident has polarized the internet. While Chiranjeevi’s supporters defend his actions, arguing that celebrities need personal space and privacy, others criticize his behavior as dismissive. A fan posted, “Chiranjeevi Rude Behaviour with Fans Airport,” condemning the actor’s actions. Another countered, “The ground staff asked the man to step aside. Approaching someone who just took a long flight and is with family is inappropriate. Chiranjeevi just nudged him aside politely.”

Public opinion remains divided. One user commented, “Just because we admire him, we can’t justify every action.” Another remarked, “He didn’t travel in economy like us. He came in business or first class or a chartered flight with all amenities.”

Previous Incidents

This isn’t the first time a celebrity has faced criticism for interactions at airports. A recent video showed Nagarjuna’s bodyguard pushing a specially-abled fan, leading to widespread backlash. Nagarjuna later apologized, claiming he was unaware of the incident, and subsequently met the fan for a selfie, admitting his mistake.

Similarly, Dhanush, who was present with Nagarjuna during the incident, was also called out by fans demanding an explanation, though none was given.

Upcoming Projects

Chiranjeevi is set to star in Malladi Vassishta’s Vishwambhara alongside Trisha Krishnan. He recently attended the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics in Paris with his family, including Ram Charan, Upasana, Klin Kaara, and Surekha.
