Himanshi Khurrana has emerged as one of the strongest contestants of the Bigg Boss house despite being a wild card entrant. Be it her growing fondness towards Asim Riaz or fight with other housemates she always manages to grab the headlines.
In a recent interview with BollywoodLife Himanshi’s mother, Sumeet Kaur opened up about how she is impressed by her daughter’s performance in the house and had stated, “I am very happy to see Himanshi doing well. Her personality outside is just like what she’s inside. My daughter does not believe in unnecessary ruckus and drama just to hog attention. Bigg Boss 13 is a huge platform and we are happy to see her progress.”
Before entering the Bigg Boss house Hmanshi and Shehnaaz’s music video controversy grabbed a lot of eyeballs. Commenting on the same she had stated, “Himanshi did not utter any rubbish about Shehnaaz’s family members. Yesterday, we saw how Shehnaaz hugged Himanshi. Both the girls are doing well. This time, Punjabis have taken over the Bigg Boss house and are doing dhamaal.”
Himanshi and Asim have stuck with each other through thick and thin and it seems like Himanshi’s mother too approves of their bond. She was quoted as saying “It feels great to know that she has a friend who will stand up for her. Asim is a lovely boy and I am fond of him. Their friendship is cute and sweet to watch,” she says. When we remind of how he spoke about his one-sided feelings and lavished love on Himanshi’s birthday, she said, “See, Himanshi is in a committed relationship and has drawn a line. Of course, my daughter is very pretty so I can understand Asim’s romantic birthday wish (laughs out loud). The journey in Bigg Boss house is unpredictable, you see.”
She also went on to say that she is very fond of him and said, “I like him. He is a very caring boy. As a mom, I only want a guy who cares for my daughter. And he really looks after her.”
Earlier reports suggested that Himanshi is engaged to Punjabi music sensation Ammy Virk. However, Himanshi’s mother dismissed such rumours and had stated, Himanshi is not engaged to Ammy Virk. They did a photo shoot for a bridal magazine and the pics got leaked. Since the concept was new in Punjab, people thought they got engaged. My daughter is in a committed relationship for years now. But no, she is not formally engaged at all. The families know each other. You don’t know what the future has in store for them”
When asked about the fact that netizens blamed her daughter for the split between then ex-Bffs Sidharth Shukla and Asim Riaz because the latter got offended as Sidharth made fun of him in front of Himanshi, she said, “My daughter is not the type to instigate fights. She will try to bring them closer if need be.”
She later concluded saying, “We are not thinking of marriage or engagement any time in the near future. Himanshi has a lot of potential. I want a great career for her in the entertainment industry.”
