Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif recently acknowledged a Bengaluru-based woman’s viral review of a product from her beauty brand, Kay Beauty. The woman, who had used Kay Beauty’s eyeliner, took to social media to express her amazement after the product withstood a heavy downpour without smudging.
The woman shared her experience in a video, which quickly gained traction online. In the video, she explained how she was caught in a sudden rainstorm while commuting from her office to home. Despite getting drenched and enduring muddy splashes from passing vehicles, the Kay Beauty eyeliner remained intact.
“Let me say this first that this video is an ad but I have not been paid for it. I am so surprised and shocked by this product that I had to stop and make this video in the middle of the rain,” she remarked in the video. She further narrated her ordeal, describing the downpour as reminiscent of Cherrapunji’s heavy rains. Despite her best efforts to shield herself, she was soaked, with only her eyeliner surviving the deluge. “My foundation and lipstick got smudged… even my desire to return home has smudged, but look at this eyeliner! What is this Kay by Katrina? I am really impressed, Katty!” she exclaimed.
The video quickly spread across social media platforms, eventually catching the attention of Katrina Kaif herself. The actress re-shared the video on her Instagram Stories, adding her own humorous note. “So happy that you are ‘bhauchakki, achambit and prabhawit (surprised, shocked, and inspired)’ by our Kay Beauty liquid eyeliner… Life can be unpredictable but your eyeliner shouldn’t be,” Katrina wrote, accompanied by playful emojis.
