In a recent interview, rapper and musician Badshah, known for his extravagant lifestyle, set social media ablaze with revelations about his extensive sneaker collection. The rapper, famous for his flashy tastes, disclosed that his collection exceeds 1,000 pairs, including a pair of Nike X Kanye West trainers worth a staggering Rs 22 lakh.

The viral moment came during an interview with The Lallantop, where Badshah discussed his career, personal life, and his passion for shoes. When asked about his shoe collection, originally estimated at 500 pairs, the rapper quickly corrected the interviewer, revealing that the number far surpassed that figure.

“Zyada hain, 500 kamm bol rahe ho. Waise toh 500 ke baad ginna chod diya tha lekin fir jab ghar shift kar rahe the toh fir gine toh 1000 se uper the,” Badshah said, emphasising that he had stopped counting after 500 but later realized the collection had grown to over 1,000 pairs during a recent move.

The Most Expensive Pair in His Collection

One of the most talked-about items in Badshah’s shoe collection is a rare pair of Nike Yeezy II sneakers, designed by Kanye West. These “Red October” sneakers are valued at Rs 22 lakh today. Badshah explained that the shoes, which he purchased for Rs 6 lakh, skyrocketed in value due to West’s departure from Nike, a significant moment in pop culture and streetwear history.

“I have an expensive shoe worth Rs 22 lakh, a Nike shoe called Yeezy II… its current value is Rs 22 lakh,” the rapper shared. He admitted that despite his passion for sneakers, he wouldn’t spend Rs 22 lakh on a pair at this point in his life.

Badshah also revealed a personal goal tied to this expensive pair: “The day I win a Grammy, I will go wearing that sneaker.”

Social Media Reactions

Following the interview, Badshah’s comments quickly went viral, sparking reactions from fans and critics alike. Many netizens took to social media to troll the rapper, mocking his Grammy ambitions.

“Fir to tu wo shoe nahi pahan payega bhai,” one user commented, while another quipped, “Matlab kabhi nhi pehnega,” both suggesting he would never win a Grammy. Others accused him of living in “infinite illusion.”

Despite the criticism, Badshah’s love for sneakers continues to capture attention, cementing his status as a style icon among sneaker enthusiasts.
