Challenges of Comedy

In a candid conversation with IANS, Dimri revealed her struggles with the comedy genre, highlighting it as the most challenging type of film she has worked on. “I have always done a lot of films in the drama genre, but I feel that as an actor, it is really important to keep doing different things and keep challenging yourself. I have found comedy a little difficult since the beginning,” she said. Despite the difficulties, she acknowledged the experience as beneficial for her growth as an actress.

Expectations for ‘Bad Newz’

Audiences are eagerly awaiting the release of Bad Newz, which stars Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk alongside Dimri. The team is optimistic about delivering a film that will entertain and amuse viewers. Dimri expressed her gratitude to director Anand Tiwari for casting her in a comedy, noting that it was a significant departure from her previous roles in dramas like Bulbbul and Qala. “It was difficult for me, especially with Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, as they are very talented and their comic timing is very good,” she shared.

Dimri is not slowing down, with several upcoming projects in the pipeline. Following Bad Newz, she is set to appear in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 alongside Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan. Additionally, she will feature in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video and Shazia Iqbal’s Dhadak 2, co-starring Siddhant Chaturvedi.
