Ayushmann Releases A New Official Statement On ‘Bala’ Controversy
From ‘Andhadhun’ to ‘Badhai Ho’, after giving back to back hits Ayushmann is now on his league to give yet another blockbuster ‘Bala’ directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan. But the movie was halfway struck by an obstacle when Kamal Kant Chandra, Assistant Director filed a criminal complaint against Ayushmann and his ‘Bala’ team for plagiarizing the film’s story.
The story talks about a man who faces premature balding. The team had not even started shooting and then suddenly news made its way in the air talking about the case that has been filed against the team. Kamal Kant then filed a complaint under Section 420 (cheating) and 406 (breach of trust) for shooting the film without waiting for the court’s verdict. The movie has not seen its sunny days since then.
Chandra also claimed that the opposition’s lawyer had lied to the bench in the last hearing saying that the film is still in its scripting stage. He further dug out the fact about how the ‘Vicky Donor’ actor had expressed his interest in the movie’s concept in his WhatsApp conversation in the year 2017. He had been complaining that the filmmaker registered his concept with the Screen Writers’ Association in 2016 while their script has been registered in 2018.
“What has been communicated to you is a malafide distortion of actual facts especially with regard to the proceedings of 09th April 2019. In fact, Mr. Chandra also moved the Bombay High court in vacation (May 29) in this regard and was not granted any relief. In any event as the matter is sub-judice and since the next date of hearing is June 10, 2019 we are not commenting any further. In any event our script is original and we will show that to the court when the matter comes up.” read Khurrana’s new official statement.
