Actress Ayesha Takia, who gained popularity with her roles in Taarzan: The Wonder Car and Wanted, recently stirred up a storm on social media with her latest Instagram posts. The actress shared a series of photos where she is seen donning a blue and golden saree, complemented by heavy jewelry and loose tresses. The look was accentuated with makeup, as she shared a reel captioned “Salam e ishq” along with a few still images, dropping heart emojis in the caption.

However, the response from fans was far from what the actress might have expected. Many of her followers were quick to comment on her changed appearance, noting that she looked “unrecognisable.”

A slew of comments pointed out the stark difference in her look compared to her earlier days in Bollywood. One fan lamented, “Why did you destroy your face and natural beauty?” while another asked, “Arre ye kya karke rakhe ho? (What have you done to your face?)” Another follower expressed disappointment, writing, “Can’t find that cute girl anymore… anyway, God bless and keep smiling.” Some fans offered more tempered reactions, with one saying, “Looking nice but natural beauty is always perfect.”

This isn’t the first time Takia has faced criticism for her appearance. Earlier this year, she was trolled after being spotted at the airport with her son. Following the viral photos and videos, Takia took to Instagram to address the backlash. She shared a heartfelt note explaining that she had been dealing with a family medical emergency at the time. “Turns out there are no other important issues in the country except dissecting my looks,” she wrote, adding that she had no interest in returning to films despite speculation.

In her post, Takia also expressed gratitude to her loyal fans, writing, “I would like to thank all my followers, fans, and well-wishers… you guys have been so awesome, loving, and amazing to me all the time… so thank you …sending you love.”

Ayesha Takia, who was last seen in the 2011 film Mod, has remained largely absent from the big screen, focusing instead on her personal life.
