Karan Johar doesn’t need any introduction. The ace director and filmmaker started his career in his early 20s. But did you know that Karan’s first job was not as an assistant director but actor? Yes, Karan Johar made his acting debut in 1989 with a TV show called Indradhanush. He was just 15 years old when he was first offered this role.

Karan Johar has mentioned about his acting experience in his book ‘An Unsuitable Boy’. He also took to his tweeter handle to write about his role. “RK studios is more than a mega institution of Indian cinema, it has also shaped many personal memories for me. My fondest memory wasn’t as a director but as an actor! I was 15 & shooting for a TV serial called Indradhanush which was being filmed there & one of my first times on,” he wrote.

In the video that is going viral on the internet, Karan could be seen showing off his acting skills. He could be seen dressed up in a school uniform and playing his character with full dedication. Later, in his 20s Karan assisted Aditya Chopra on the sets of ‘Dilwale Dulahaniya lejayenge’. He also played a part in the film and acted as Shah Rukh Khan’s friend in the movie.

Meanwhile, Karan recently celebrated his 50th birthday and invited all the big names to the party. A lot of videos are doing the rounds on the internet in which he could be seen dancing with Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan.
