Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao announced their separation after 15 years years of marital bliss. The much-in-love couple who made us believe in happily ever after parted ways and we are still not able to come to terms with it. Their friend Hajee Amin had revealed that friends tried to make them understand but apparently the couple were firm on their decision and have thought through this for a while now. The couple who is currently in Kargil during one of their live sessions revealed that their relationship might have changed but they are still a family.
And now days after announcing their divorce a video of the former couple dancing together is going crazy viral. Aamir Khan who is currently in Laddakh shooting for his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, and Naga Chaitanya. In the viral video, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao can be seen dressed in Laddakhi outfits and dancing happily with the locals. They danced the popular Ladakhi dance Gomba Sumshak along with the villagers.
On July 3, 2021, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao issued a joint statement announcing their separation. It read, “In these 15 beautiful years together we have shared a lifetime of experiences, joy and laughter, and our relationship has only grown in trust, respect and love”.
Now we would like to begin a new chapter in our lives – no longer as husband and wife, but as co-parents and family for each other. We began a planned separation some time ago, and now feel comfortable to formalize this arrangement, of living separately yet sharing our lives the way an extended family does. We remain devoted parents to our son Azad, who we will nurture and raise together”.
It could be further read as, “We will also continue to work as collaborators on films, Paani Foundation, and other projects that we feel passionate about. A big thank you to our families and friends for their constant support and understanding about this evolution in our relationship, and without whom we would not have been so secure in taking this leap.
