Earlier this year, it was revealed that actress Adah Sharma had moved into the former home of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, sparking curiosity and speculation among fans and media alike. The duplex, located in the Mont Blanc building in Bandra West, Mumbai, boasts four bedrooms and a seafront view, making it one of the more desirable properties in the area.
The development garnered significant attention due to the apartment’s connection to Sushant Singh Rajput, a beloved actor whose untimely death in 2020 deeply affected the film industry and his fans. The property had remained vacant for three years before Adah and her family took up residence.
In response to the buzz surrounding her move, Adah Sharma addressed the situation during a press conference on August 12, held by filmmaker Vikram Bhatt to announce his upcoming movies. Adah, who has recently collaborated with Bhatt on the film Tumko Meri Kasam, spoke candidly about her living arrangements.
“I took that flat on rent,” Adah clarified during an interview with a journalist, quashing any rumors about her acquiring the property. She humorously added, “The Rs. 378 crores earned by The Kerala Story (2023) are not mine! Not just me, even my grandmother contributes to it. She argued that since she also resides there, she’ll also pay the rent. My mother doesn’t work, so she doesn’t contribute, but she cooks great food for us.”
Adah further revealed a touching detail about her grandmother’s involvement, explaining that her grandmother insisted on paying half the rent. She also noted the similarities between her situation and Sushant’s, stating, “Sushant bhi rent pe he reh rahe the,” emphasising the practical choices celebrities often make regarding their living arrangements.
Adah’s remarks provided a glimpse into her down-to-earth lifestyle, despite the fame and recognition she has garnered in her career.
