Actor Abhishek Bachchan recently made headlines after suffering a freak accident while shooting for his next film in Chennai. The actor has now posted a picture of himself on Instagram with a cast on his right hand along with an inspirational caption. “Had a freak accident in Chennai on the set of my new film last Wednesday. Fractured my right hand. Needed surgery to fix it! So a quick trip back home to Mumbai. Surgery done, all patched-up and casted,” he wrote.
The Manmarziya actor also mentioned one of the iconic dialogues of his father Amitabh Bachchan’s film ‘Mard ko dard nahi hota (men don’t feel pain)’ and revealed that the injury hurt him a little. “And now back in Chennai to resume work. As they say… The show must go on! And as my father said… Mard ko dard nahin hota! Ok, ok, ok it hurt a little. Thank you all for your wishes and get-well-soon messages,” Abhishek Bachchan further said.
After the news of Abhishek’s accident went viral his friends from the industry started wishing him to get well soon. Actor Bobby Deol commented on his post, “Hope you get well soon.” Riteish Deshmukh wrote, “Get well soon my brother. Vikrant Massey also commented on his post and wrote, “Get well soon Sir. Prayers for your speedy and healthy recovery.
Recently the 45-year-old actor’s father Amitabh Bachchan and sister Shweta Bachchan Nanda were also spotted outside the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai where Abhishek was admitted after the injury. Although now the Guru actor is back on the sets and is all ready to shoot for his upcoming project. We wish him speedy recovery and good health.
