The love story of Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao had always melted the hearts of their fan. The couple was always looked upon by the youngsters for relationship goals. However, the duo shocked everyone when they announced their separation in July last year. Kiran and Aamir were married for 15 years before they announced their divorce in a joint statement.
The couple took to their social media account and wrote that both will be starting a new chapter in their lives, not as husband-wife but as co-parents and family to eachother. As soon as the news of their separation came out the news and reports of Aamir’s extramarital affair started doing rounds.
The actor was also linked up with his Dangal co-star Fatima Sana Sheikh for the longest time. The actress had played his daughter in the film. Now, in a recent interview with a media house, Aamir Khan has opened about the reports of him having an affair. The actor rubbished all the reports and said, “No. There was no one back then, there is no one now.”
In the same interview, Aamir said that the couple experienced a change in their husband and wife relationship and both wanted to respect the institution of marriage. The actor further added that both Kiran and he will always be at each other’s side but not as husband and wife. For the unversed, Aamir and Kiran Rao had met on the sets of Lagaan. The couple tied the knot in the year 2015 and gave birth to their son in the year 2011.
