Neha Kakkar said performing for free at her Melbourne concert

On March 27, 2025, Neha shared a heartfelt message on Instagram through a carousel of picture notes. She addressed the criticism for arriving three hours late to the concert, explaining that she chose not to discuss it during the event to avoid any chaos.

Neha Kakkar revealed that the organisers of her Melbourne concert disappeared without paying her

Neha revealed in her note that she performed the Melbourne concert for free after the organisers fled with her payment. She shared that her band was denied food, accommodation, and even water. Despite these hardships, she still took the stage for her fans who were eagerly waiting for her. She wrote:

“Do you all know that I performed absolutely free for my Melbourne audience? The organisers ran away with my money and others too. My band was not even given food, hotel and even water. My husband and his boys went and provided them with food. In Spite of all this we still went on stage and did the show without any rest or anything because there my fans were waiting for hours for me.” Neha stated that the sound check was delayed for hours because the sound vendor refused to proceed due to unpaid dues, preventing her from completing it. She also stated that she couldn’t arrive on time as the organisers avoided her manager’s calls and tried to evade them.

Neha also expressed gratitude to those who supported her, standing by her as if it were their own experience. She thanked the Melbourne audience for attending the concert, sharing her emotions, and dancing wholeheartedly. Shortly after, Vishal Dadlani shared his own experience in response. “I had the same thing happen to us in Boston many years ago. Learned a hard lesson. I did tell our audience though, that the local organisers had scammed them and us. I’m glad you’ve explained it openly. Sadly, whenever something like this happens, the artist always gets blamed. I’m glad people will get to know the reasons for the chaos. Sorry that you guys had to go through so much @nehakakkar.”  See the post here!
