Kannada film star Darshan Thoogudeepa, currently facing imprisonment due to his alleged involvement in the murder case of fan Renuka Swamy, caused a stir when he was seen making an obscene gesture towards cameras. The actor raised his middle finger while being escorted out of his cell to meet with his family, drawing significant media attention. According to a report by Deccan Chronicle, Darshan was allowed a meeting with his wife Vijayalakshmi and his brother Dinakar. This meeting is not an isolated incident, as Vijayalakshmi has previously visited her husband in jail. Following a prior visit, she issued a heartfelt statement to address the concerns of Darshan’s fans, who are closely following the developments in his case.   “Darshan deeply loves his fans, and it is unfortunate that we find ourselves in this difficult situation,” Vijayalakshmi wrote in Kannada. “I have spoken to him about the situation outside, and it has deeply moved him. He has urged all his fans to remain calm and focus on positive actions, trusting that he will be in their prayers.” Vijayalakshmi further expressed her faith in the Indian judiciary, saying, “We have immense faith in the judicial system and believe there will be brighter days ahead. I am confident that anyone attempting to harm Darshan in his absence will face consequences. We ask for your support during these challenging times. Your calmness is our greatest strength, and this too shall pass. Truth will ultimately prevail.” Darshan, who first rose to fame with his debut lead role in the 2002 film Majestic, has been a prominent figure in Kannada cinema for over two decades. He has starred in several hit films such as Kariya, Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna, Kalasipalya, Gaja, Navagraha, Saarathi, Bulbul, Yajamana, Robert, and Kaatera. Despite his current legal troubles, the actor’s loyal fan base continues to show unwavering support, waiting for the outcome of the judicial process. As the case progresses, all eyes remain on Darshan and his ongoing battle in court.
