In the National Award-winning film Bhuvan Shome directed by Mrinal Sen, Amitabh Bachchan made his acting debut as a voice narrator. In the movie Saath Hindustani, released in 1969, he made his acting debut. After taking a break from acting for a while, Amitabh reemerged in 1973 with the box office smash Zanjeer, which gave him the nickname “Angry Young Man.” Amitabh Bachchan is perhaps the best actor of the century, having appeared in over 200 films throughout the course of a career lasting over a decade.
Amitabh Bachchan turned 80 on October 11, 2022, and to celebrate the milestone, his son Abhishek Bachchan travelled to Tirumala Tirupati with industrialist Anil Ambani, his wife Tina Ambani, and his sister Nina Kothari. Abhishek received the blessing of Lord Balaji for his papa, Amitabh Bachchan while wearing a white kurta and pyjama. The representatives of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams honoured Abhishek, Anil, Tina, and Nina with silk fabric and gave them “tirth prasad.”
Abhishek Bachchan has often stated that his father Amitabh Bachchan is his biggest inspiration and that he looks up to him. Abhishek said in season 6 of Karan Johar’s talk show Koffee With Karan that it was really difficult for him when his father provided his opinions after reviewing his performances. He had remarked: “It’s very difficult. I have never said this, but it is. Because apart from being a co-star, a son, I’m also his biggest fan. And I genuinely say that. From the bottom of my heart, I believe that he is the greatest actor on earth.”
On the professional front, Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in his film Dasvi along with Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur.
